Special lad

#1
I have just passed my RSC, as of yesterday (woo hoo). I should be able to get on the May intake for phase 1. I'm planning on becoming a fabricator as my trade choice.

I was wondering if anyone can tell me how to go about specialising to 59 commando, as I hear they go on alot of ops and excercises. I assume I would apply during my training, but I think I'm going to need at least a year or so to get to my ideal physical shape (I need to put on ALOT of weight). So is it ok to apply later? How long does it take to get to selection for specialisations, or anyone in 59 commando, how long did it take for your application to get through?

Again, anyone in 59 commando could you tell me if the pre commando course is the same selection as the standard marine commando course? And do you get out on ops and exercises more than most or have I been misled?

Cheers
