Just watched the 9th Coy thought it was jolly good and it got me thinking.

Can anyone recommend a good, general military history of the Red Army's time in Afghanistan.

Cheers

Is that the one where they virtually all die and an O Gp generally consists of pointing towards the Mujihadeen and saying ''company attack!!!!'' ?

You might want to look at a book called "War in Afghanistan" by Mark Urban.
Rated quite highly by the former head of the ISI who wrote the Bear Trap
