“When whites arrived in South Africa, they had committed “a black genocide” when blacks were dispossessed of their land. “They found peaceful Africans here. They killed them. They slaughtered them like animals. We are not calling for the slaughtering of white people, at least for now.”
I wonder how many billions of aid have been poured into Africa over the years? Too much.
I can remember Bob Geldof's original "Band aid". Words to the effect of "we'll raise this money & Africa will never need charity again". But after a couple of years, yet more aid being poured in.
Let no Zimbabwean or South African think that the Chinese are offering charity. They are extending their influence.
No idea either. Hoping for the best and try to keep things going is about all we can do. Pressure from the west on govt to adopt a more moderate position to get things back on track perhaps? This is, after all, what they wished upon the country.
You are pushed out, obliged to leave where you were born and raised, and then, just how does one bid good-bye to all that one has loved so deeply for all one's life, leave behind the very fabric of ones being.
Familiar places and faces that were all one remembered from the moment that memory began, every animal an individual, the people all friends. The houses, its gardens, the trees, paths, hidden special childhood places, the happiness they all represented.
The quality of the air the taste of the water you have drunk since the time you began remembering. Where one began life.
For around three hundred years whites were born raised and lived in Africa, and now are faced with theis violence and hatred. The very songs the ANC chant!!!
If in UK Parliament a party gathered to sing kill the Blacks it would be considered totaly unacceptable yet the icon of ‘liberation' sang it openly.
And they are being murdered for being white.
That there has been inequality and repression is not disputed, that there has been injustice and the ignoring of basic human rights is undisputed. That majority rule was accepted is undisputed. That this has now reversed is also undisputed.
What was created in south Africa, Rhodesia and many other colonies was an advance on what had been before... and is now sadly reverting to what had been.
The farmer in particular is assuming he's going to have the time to do a phased drawdown and dismantle. He'd be better off killing the livestock, smashing the kit up and burning the property - because that's what the locals will do. He'd be also better off tooling himself up with as much ordnance and whiskey as possible and going down in a blaze of glory, because there's no way he's pitching up at Heathrow with a sob story that any twat over here gives a toss about. We're too busy cock-sucking the world's dross to extend a hand to the sons of Empire. Alas. Not that I have any strong feelings about the subject.
And Mark Philip Malcolm Horn is talking out of his arse. We don't deal with thieves? Yeah we do... and we give the ******* knighthoods too!
