Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. What rock/pop songs do you know that are about soldiers or wars and anything related to that.

I'll kick it off with two.

Tragically Hip - Nautical Disaster; Dieppe raid.
Dire Straits - Brothers in Arms; WW1
  2. Black Sabbath - War Pigs
  3. Brothers in arms - Dire Straights
Two little boys (had two little toys) - Rolf Harris
    Paschendale - Chris Deburgh
Jeff Wayne (1978) - war of the worlds
John Tams - The songs of Rfn Hagman
  4. I always thought 'Brothers In Arms' was about the Falklands? "Those mist-covered mountains..." surely not referring to Flanders fields?
  5. Edwin Star......... War uhuh what is it good for!!!
  6. Absolutely nothing apparently :D
  7. That makes total sense, going by the lyrics. the video is about Flanders fields though.
  8. Dont give a toss if I get flamed for it... but I still like "Camouflage" by Stan Ridgway... Yes its American and yes its a bit cheesy....

But then again so's "In the Army Now" by the Mighty Quo......

Oh dear... what have I unleashed..

At least "September Rain" by Green Day is pretty awesome !!!
  9. The War Song - Culture Club. Absolute shite.
  10. paper lace - billy don't be a hero
  11. Ah! The Mighty Paper Lace!
  12. Bloody Sunday - a tribute to 1 PARA by the those bog dwellers U2.
