Though this was actually a case of crap security exploited by a lucky find, it's a PR victory for the group. In the eyes of Joe Public, casually phone tapping Scotland Yard and the FBI is an enormous statement of credibility. Add to that the idea that acts like SOPA and ACTA may actually legitimise the group, and the next few years could be very interesting.

Should point out that it was a rogue email that did it. Leaving the conferance call signature in the email (idiots) so all they really had to do was dial in and listen up. Classic.

90% of so-called 'hacking' is actually just the result of piss poor admin. Choosing obvious passwords, leaving memory sticks lying around or not putting confidential docs through the shredder.

I'm sure the Yanks are blustering around, getting all macho and promising waterboarding for all involved whereas the Brits will be staring at their Bakelite handset, muttering "Arthur told me he'd plugged this thing in."
