    Another British soldier has died in Afghanistan's troubled Helmand Province after being hit by an explosion.
    The Ministry of Defence announced the news in a statement released to the media.

    "It is with great sadness that the Ministry of Defence must confirm the death of a soldier from the Royal Logistic Corps," the statement said.

    The soldier was killed as a result of an explosion near Sangin, in central Helmand Province, during the afternoon of October 31.
