Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Greetings and best wishes to all Queensmen, past and present. Today is Sobraon Day!

In memory of Sgt Bernard McCabe's gallant actions this day in 1846.

Do we still have 'The Sobraon Sergeant'? If so, a cracking day to you Sir! And I spare a thought for the Duty Piquet Officer at midnight tonight, that was me in 1985......... ouch!
  2. The Sobraon Sgt is still honoured in the PWRR and yesterday was a very good day. Two duty officers now, normally the youngest or newest. I can quite happily report that they are still er... enjoying the day!
