So what are we ‘losing’ by leaving the EU?

Oh do **** off you patronising cnut.
Wasn't my intention. This issue facing the country is hugely complex and I personally find myself having to find the kernel of truth in the news, regardless of source.

We are in the age of soundbites and 140 characters after all

Can you prove that? Not disagreeing but asking do you know that or is it a throw away question?
I did look twice to emigrate about 20 and 15 years ago, I could see the way it was going contracting in my industry. I figured Australia and save enough for a farm or Canada and farm straight away!
Sometimes life gets in the way of your plans. The reason contracting was getting harder? Ojeu was the biggest pain out of a long list of many but in the end getting off the contracting merry-go-round has been a long time aim!
I've not heard of one single instance in which someone has stated the main reason they're leaving the UK is because of our EU membership.

Even Mr. Gyro backpeddled on that one just recently.

If there had been even the one instance, Boris et al would have rushed to bring i to our attention.

You've not heard, no doubt it doesn't fit anyone in media lands agenda or perhaps those folk are just sayng f*ckit Ive had enough and leaving anyway. That or they aren't pretentious little remainers trying to run away whilst crying on the local BBC news about it! The losers!

Not one single person has said they've left because of the EU.
Not one.
If there had been, the Brexit camp would have shouted it from the White Cliffs of Dover while wearing Morris dancing kit, from the top of a Routemaster Bus, while having a full English breakfast with warm ale on Trafalgar Day.
But they didn't.

Woah don't put words in my mouth.

I said they were unlikely to have stated "We're leaving because of the EU", because that's as ridiculous as stating one of the Mediterranean Sea Crossers is coming to the EU because they like the flag and stuff.

People emigrate and immigrate to and from the EU (and I include pre referendum/Brexit UK here) for loads of reasons.

You're simplifying things to try and prove a pointless point.

If there had been, the Remain camp would have shouted it from the White Cliffs of Dover while wearing French Onion Selling kit, from the top of a 2CV, while having a croissant and Vin Rouge on Bastille Day.
But they didn't.
See? Easy innit.

I was just trying a bit of making up unprovable facts to see how it easy it was.

Sorry if I offended you, but hate the game not the player eh?
You bit like fvck, mate. Most unlike you.

One thing about the NHS I've never been able to get my head around is the necessity to employ foreign doctors at relatively junior levels/grades.
Yes, getting a medical degree calls for a vast amount of hard work and dedication over a long period, and of course there will be some natural wastage, transfers to other disciplines and so on.
They do remain however, one of the most over subscribed undergraduate courses on offer and there must be many a well qualified applicant who regrettably gets turned down for a place on the narrowest of margins. Surely, with a growing and ever longer living population*, we should be investing in our home grown talent and expanding British medical schools rather than employing foreign trained medics of potentially dubious provenance ?

* It goes without saying that every few years , such medical schools should supply a tweed wearing avuncular GP specialising in geriatrics with a homely wife named after a native meadow or hedgerow flowering plant. We as a nation do these things so far much better than pale foreign imitators.

Only if (and it's unsurprising that you need it to be pointed out) you're a simpleton.

Well, nobody left the UK because of our membershp of the EU, did they?
RemaINed a aren't the type.

no dash, elan, spirit of adventure.

they'll move to some ghastly ex-pay enclave before returning to UK to run up medical bills and die. But that's not really the same.

I've thought about leaving these shores once or twice.

The eu does have a bit of a input to this process. Because they're such ar*eholes.

once the MiL shuffles off this mortal coil we'll revisit. Especially if the eu still had undue input on uk.

They probably have left years ago. I wouldn't be surprised if a few come back provided we get a decent Brexit and not some remainers half arsed effort!

If he is an enabler why is he trying to stop us deploying?
