So how many Taliban have we and our allies killed?

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. The Taliban are quoted on the BBC as predicting that many more Allied forces will be killed as a result of the recently announced surge.

What we never hear is just how many Taliban we have killed.

They seem to keep coming but would they be so keen to join the Jihad if they were aware of how many of their comrades had met their maker?

  3. In what sense could this be construed as a Wah? Please explain.
  4. They're correct.

Because we're not counting. It's pointless.

    They couldn't give a toss.

    See post above.
  6. They are not allowed to die, apparently Allah (peace be amongst us) is still having great difficulty finding dead virgins and at a ratio of 72 to 1 for all the troops knocking on his door he's being hard pressed to fulfill his obligations. Of course, if you count goats, his problem is slightly solved.
  7. You are straying into the realms of competitive body counts such as occurred in Vietnam which, as the Americans found to their cost, is a passport to failure.

  8. And young prepubescent boys…. At least on Thursdays.
  9. This next comment is very sick, so if easily offended look away for 5 seconds, "so cot deaths is Allahs way of making up the numbers, get them when their young"?...............................You can look now.

Its irrelevant - they have an endless supply from the Ummah, 99% of whom would be happy to test the 'Allah's bullet proof vest' theory in the face of an Apache mini gun or Pedator airstrike.

We don't have unlimited numbers of Soldiers. And as we know, flag draped coffins cost votes. So, whens the tail between the legs pull out due then? I'm on for 2014, but that could well be a conservative estimate.
  12. Well us and the Yanks have said 2011, so if you're right enjoy those last 3 years supported by the French and the mighty Bosnian (10 pers), Georgian (1) and Jordanian (7) contingents.
  14. not enough
