Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Off to do Snowdon tomorrow.

Anybody been up there in the last week or so who can tell me how bad the roads are (If they're still bad) as I'm in work tomorrow night and would like to get home.
  2. Another belt of snow forecast for tomorrow, it may be prudent to check before you go

I have Just had a glance at the met office site, it is now saying Wednesday
  3. Everything is clear at the moment
Rain and warm temperatures over the last few days have cleared pretty much everything.
  4. Cheers folks. I'm going solo as I'm a billy no mates and in training so I also hang back when the weather is iffy for a better day when someone can hear me scream.
  5. There is absolutely no reason you can't do it solo, just take the right gear, if doing the Llanberis path set off early. If you are setting off around 8 you should be summiting easily around 11/12, with plenty of daylight for the descent, you can run it if you can keep running to keep your temp up.
