Is there anyone out there who requires a set of RE SNCO's Mess kit? Or who knows someone who does. Going very cheap. :D

I could be interested if the current owner is 42" chest, tending towards generous 34" waist and 6' tall without knuckles dragging on the floor.

Judging from the kits sold on eBay, there aren't many in the Corps that fit this description.

But with only an anticipated 5 or 6 future outings, cheap is a major consideration.

A conversation overheard in Burtons in Glasgow recently went something like this:

Knocker... " Have ye got a suit tae fit me son?"

Salesperson..." If we have sir then some f*cker is getting the sack!"

Need I say more ?

got asked the other day when i was issued my Acran (or whatever they are called now) if i would consider extending my service should i get picked up next year.

don't think our poor young OC has heard that much laughter & swearing before in his life.

roll on 2009.

Aye up ya bunch of no hopers!

I spent 9 years as a fullscrew! Despite a CO's meeting, with coffee I might add, and being told I had no chance of promotion I left with a Sergeants pension! I was NOT bothered about the rank - it was the financial implications.......... I was one of the T pay Planty blanket stackers! The 4 years as a Sgt were brill in the Mess.

Knocker...if you need anything leading upto discharge drop me a line.

I knew a guy in Liverpool who organised his own resettlement course....he spent a month on a dude ranch in Montana...Green machine coughed up all the cash too.........Yee Ha
