Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Hello,
    has anyone read "SKY ABOVE, LAND BELOW" By John 'Steve' Villers?

    You really should if you havn't. It is a autobiography and the man concerned was in the RAF and it contains many humerous stories.

    It tells of 50 years of flying etc.

    It really is an excellent read.

    If you have read it, what are you opinions of it??
  2. To quote one Capt E Blackadder;

    "Soft, strong and thoroughly absorbent"

    Might I recommend you try reading Alex Kimbell's "Think Like A Bird" - no, it's not an oxymoron, but a book written by an Army pilot, about flying Army aircraft.

    That's a clue, dear.
  3. yes i am aware this is a ARMY site
    still some people may have read it however im guessing they havn't.
    Worth a try anyway.
