Sit-ups and feet

Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Having trouble keeping my feet on the ground when carrying out sit-ups.

Apart from having someone holding your feet, what is a good way of ensuring they stay on the deck?
  2. Cut them off whilst on a cruise and leave them there.
  3. HAHA cheers for that Snail.
  4. Put them under a chair, with something heavy on top, and hope for the best it doesnt hurt too much when it lands on you.
  5. Dont do them, worst exercise ever. Pathetic attempt of building a stronger core.
  6. What would you suggest instead?
  7. Lead diving boots work for me.
  8. I dont know what you want to achieve with the exercise so i cant tell you the best exercises to do.
But here is an exercise which is alot better than the sit up and uses the same muscles and aims for the same result.

If you insist on doing sit ups, make sure you do crunches and make sure you do them correctly.
