Sir Philip Green - alleged sexual harassment?

I most certainly agree with your sentiments, but, by the same token, many women have also had their reputations comprehensively ruined for having the gall to come forward and make such an accusation......MsG

You seem to know a lot about Mr. Green and Mr. Trump. Have you evidence to support your claims?
You forgot to mention the people who claimed they were sexually assaulted by officers of the RC church who were bullied and not believed.
Or even the allegations of sexual assault in the Labour organisation that were "investigated" in house.
It's not just big business with questions to answer Bugs.

Green has been accused of bullying - nowadays that means he may have raised his voice during a conversation, or smacked his fist on the table to emphasize a point. He is also accused of sexual harassment. whilst I don't know what sort of behaviours that would encompass in this case, it might be pretty benign it might not. I've not read the whole thread so I bet II am repeating what others have already said. - I am worried that in this day and age, an allegation alone can be the end of a career, a tarnished reputation a loss of income etc. The rule of law is slipping away in this country, and media mob rule is taking over (I a know I am overstating it, but that is the way it seems sometime). It needs a political class to stand up for the rule of law - not holding my breath on that.

Green may be a thoroughly unpleasant person, that isn't against the law, but he has been tried in the press and found guilty.

Lord Hain though is lauded in parts of the press for his action - He fearlessly stands up for human rights (not Green's) against power, privilege and wealth. from the seat of power in the UK, as part of a group of the most privelaged people in the UK..

Yes, you could say that, same as they've been harassing the Saudi's for information about that journalist chap who went missing.
Oh yeah that's exactly the same thing isn't it.

Hain allegedly has a history of breaking the law IIRC?
No consolation to alleged victims wishing anonymity.
If there was a clear indication that justice was being subverted then he might have had just reason but there has been no judgment yet. BBC and Met plod vs Sir Cliff Richard springs to mind, although Sir Cliff didn't employ NDA's afaik. Lynch mobs next?
Exclusive: Lord Hain is paid adviser to law firm that represented The Telegraph in Sir Philip Green injunction case - Legal Cheek

The Perma-tanned Hain is typical of the current Labour party, stirred up all the anti apartheid crap in S. A. & came here & did the same, got elected as an MP in a safe labour seat in S Wales. Forced to resign over failing to declare over £100k worth of cash donations to his electoral campaign and promoted to the Lords, occasionally writes for the Guardian & allegedly does work for a legal firm coincidentally employed by the Telegraph which is pursuing Green, so typical of much of our parasitical political class Never worked in a real job in his life.
Green is from all accounts a typical very rich, ruthless, somewhat shady, business tycoon, rude, aggressive & bullying to his staff.
So I have no sympathy for either!!

Don't forget the rape cover-up in Bugsy's own beloved SWP.

Funny how he forgot that...

RE 2 or 3 posts above, the press are harassing the Saudis because th victim was a journalist, they get very protective of their own, and the Donald's flip flopping over the Saudi explanations also gives them another chance to have a go at him too. It's news because they want it be...

Something that I have noticed.
Individuals who have accumulated vast amounts of the readies are rarely nice people.
There is the odd one, but not many.
I think that's because to succeed in cut-throat competition you need massive excess of testosterone to drive the necessary bullying etc. Visible in politicians too (JFK, and Clinton having bjs in the broom cupboard).

That must have been embarrassing if they were the only ones to emerge from the broom cupboard.

Only when it's someone who isn't popular.
Everyone is unpopular with some people, and with just a little effort one can be unpopular with everyone.

This is really getting on my tits in the Torygraph as it’s taken over from BREXIT which was providing hours of endless amusement.......

Anyway from the Torygraph:

Last week, The Telegraph revealed how five former employees each signed so-called “gagging clauses” after making allegations about Sir Philip’s behaviour.

After fighting a six-month legal case against the billionaire, the Telegraph was able to reveal how a female executive was paid more than £1 million after she accused the retail tycoon of groping her.

I wonder if all these women are giving back the millions they were paid now they are speaking out with their new found freedom.......

You must be kidding. I don't read any of the Brexit headlines now; the dullness of repeated dull incompetence and dull political scratching is beyond my capacity to endure.

Now, a good story about Green is excellent frothy ale; sexism, racism, arrogance, hypocrisy, yachts, cash transfers, tits and arses (no bent vicars yet, but I'm waiting) - it's got the lot. It's what we should be reading about every day in the nation's press.

And I'm ending my subscription to the Telegraph this week; poor journalism, very few good columnists. I'm sticking with the Times.

Cunningly invested in their husband's names perchance?

I may have totally misunderstood the use of 'gagging' there.

I most certainly agree with your sentiments, but, by the same token, many women have also had their reputations comprehensively ruined for having the gall to come forward and make such an accusation.

Look at a number of the poor young girls dreadfully abused by those horrible rape syndicates, who, in their utter desperation, plucked up the (considerable) courage to go to the Old Bill and were either not believed or summarily dismissed as “slags”. How will they ever manage to develop any sort of trust in so-called “authorities” that so badly let them down? And what sort of message does that send to women in a similar situation?

Despicable, slimy, arrogant ärseholes like Green absolutely typify the general attitude of wealthy folks to those they deem “below” them. Just like the orange wonder Tronald Dump, who firmly believes that, just because he’s rich, he has the right to walk up to any woman and “grab her by the pussy”. Green has much the same attitude, the greasy, creepy, loathsome bästard!
You hypocritical cunt
You who supported the whole comrade Delta - internal investigation and telling of the victim she wasn't raped

I guess victims are only to be believed if the attackers are brown or rich white folk - If they are good socialists then obviously the victim is lying
