And the good news is

2A271427-A45A-456F-BB28-57BFF3F56757.jpeg
that’s the lights done.

The bad news is I need a hip arthroscopy which is two weeks on crutches, 6 weeks of physio and 3-6 months before I experience no pain. On the bright side, having read up about it on the hinterweb, I can expect to be an elite athlete afterwards……

If I’m knackered for that long, Wokka will be finished!!

Yes perhaps you are right. As Im training to be an elite athlete then I won’t have the time for the Wokka and the pursuit of a god like body.

Not got a date yet so in the meantime

Ive gone with liquid mask for the inside of the hatch and I will airbrush then hand paint around the edges. This stuff is quite good for very fiddly bits and it dries with a rubber like texture so it’s easy to get off when your paint is dry.

As you can see, I am finishing things!!

Oooh, good luck with the arthroscopy … enjoy the recuperation, and do the Physio! Good part, plenty of time now …

This is precisely why you use liquid mask! Didn’t bother with the hatch on the right…..

Now got really-work which adds another day:-D

Now you see why I either take ages or never finish anything!

As a spectator it’s well worth the wait…
Of course this means the Wokka should be mind blowing

Can’t decide if that’s a like or a funny!

I’ve gone for 3.5mm light glass. You will barely see these when the dozer blade is fitted. The top half of the hull is not fixed either which is why you can see the gap at the minute.

Few all round shots before I move onto the tracks and lower hull. I’m about 90% there in the upper hull with lots of little niggles to sort like the handles on the hatches for example. Anyway. Here it is at the minute. I’ve been pretty much solid for two days now, so about 14 hours gone in. This has been a big build, time wise, which is down to the Berlin scheme.

You attempt masking that….. you’ll have the blokes in White coming for you!!

You’ve got to admit it’s tempting. Problem is I’d need a 360 degree view of it including a plan view from above it to do it justice. If you think the Berlin Chally has taken an age, the digital one would be a good 6 weeks to do the paint job I reckon.
