Builds Simmerits 1/35 Chally 2 build as I'm a bit bored and no-one's done one yet!

Cracking on with the new wheels. These are quite nice and well better than the ones that are on it and they are correct for the year.

That’s good old Halfords grey primer. Can’t whack it.

A couple of comments on etch if anyone is interested in building one of these.

this is what’s available for the Trumpeter model. One of the problems with the different manufacturers are none of the dimensions are the same. Tamiya engine covers are a different size to Trumpeter so you can’t use Tamiya etch on anything else other than a Tamiya Chally…..

I’ve not built one needing this yet, but this is bar armour from Voyager.

looks rock hard but should be straight forward.

Eduard - out of production now but does come up on waltBay. I was after engine grill covers for both MBTs. I may use some of this lot when I get round to the Ryefield in the digital scheme!

I think I will give the bar armour a miss.

Using that Bar armour, you know you want to make all the tankies a bit moist around the bits by doing up a fully TES'd Chally 3.

that’s the three I’ve got to do sorted then.

1 x Chally 2 in digital
1 x Chally 2 TES
1 x Chally 3 TES

just need to finish the Wokka.

Ill get me coat!

That's a Cr1, not a two.

But there are three Mk's of Falcon turret, and you also get the Jordanian Modification to the Cr1 with a manned turret.

I'm not building foreign stuff! Septic is fine (ish) - the Wokka clearly. I may wander into Boxhead WW2 (because we beat them) and I have some Russian bits (curiosity), but my main focus on armour and soft skins is British.

Toying with a Tornado at the minute....... after the Wokka

These are just about ready for the green. Not sure if I showed the masks previously but these are a damn site cheaper than buying them.

you are the font of all Knowledge regarding CH2, So if I'm going to build a single kit of the Ch2, say one in BATUS, what model kit and what After Market accessories come to the top of Si's list of Recommendations? Kinda boiling this huge thread down to bare bones I know.
