Just some of the quirky little things that make our language ( not yours, septics and other colonial cousins, sad immitators that you are ) so BRILLIANT !!!!.It's the 'enge' sound at the end that matters:
- Orange is pronounced 'awr-inj'
- Lozenge is pronounced 'loz-inj'
It's the 'inj' sound at the end that's the rhyme.
'Through' and 'Flew' are spelled differently but have the same '-oo' sound.
