Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. i was wondering what is this all about and how do you do it, as my beret has far too much material on it.

  2. do you have a headsize of a 4year old?
    Or are you french,by chance?

  3. If it is new remove the plastic inner.
Fill your sink with hot water.
Get a bucket of cold water.
Immerse your beret in the hot water and wring it dish cloth style
Immerse it in the cold water and repeat as with the hot
Do this 3 or 4 times and for your own comfort finish with the hot.
Place steaming beret on your head and model the shape to your
Current trend I think it was French Para when I was a cassette.
Once you have the shape wear the beret for a bit till it starts to dry
Then take it off carefully and put it somewhere warm and safe like an airing cupboard where it will dry in shape.
If you have a leather banded beret then use a bit of neutral polish on it when it is dry to feed the leather. Never use black
This will give you a shrunken and shaped beret as worn by all the older cooler kids :D

  4. Get a fcukin smaller head!!

  5. Be an individual man ! Keep it baggy and unshaped as issued.

  6. If it is new remove the featal fluid.

If it's an issue beret then you may as well give up now.

Better off buying one from Du-Boreoff.
