  1. Hi all,
I've been given one hell of an opportunity to lead a bunch of a-level sprogs into the wilderness of the artic circle, and possibly come back alive.
The only thing is the exped is right in the middle of my fam visits, briefing, and main board. Also I have to work for a living and getting 4 weeks off ain't easy.
To all those who are commisioned is it silly to take this on? Is it too much work in the middle of what I already have to do to prepare for aosb stuff? I would have to do a hell of a lot of preparation for the exped aswell as the aosb stuff.

    any ideas???

  2. onDo the AOSB and if you spoon it do it again if you dont get a 4 which you would be unlikly to get if you could come back.

  3. Your opening sentence "one hell of an opportunity ... " is the clue.

    DO IT!!!

PS: Do you need an admin WO?

  4. Go - the experience can only enhance what you will take to the AOSB party.

Talk to your Careers Advisor as "fam visits, briefing, and main board" can be delayed - this opportunity can't.

Edited to add - Unless you are against the age timescale

  5. What is an admin WO?

  6. Well im 25 now and I hope to enter sandhurst jan '09. This was actually offered to me by my advisor. the only thing I'm not sure of is work. 4weeks off is alot.

    thanks for the advice.

Yes, four weeks IS a lot. You could stay at work, drooling into your keyboard, drinking tepid coffee whilst eating your oddly damp Tesco's sandwich. Or..? I know what I'd do!

  8. An "Administrative Warrant Officer". No Officer should venture outside without one! They specialise in keeping you out of the sh*t and can source anything from nothing!

  9. Sounds like what I'd need. You work for free right?

  10. Highly unlikely!
