  1. Well, I had my new computer for about 2 weeks now, and the internet is used for about 2-3 hours a day so I expected some spyware when I scan.

But so far every scan hasn't found a thing (i'm using, Avira, Avast and Malaware Bytes). On my old computer I always found 1 or 2 files lurking at least.

So should I be concerned or was my old computer a magnet for malware?

  3. I had an old car that wasn't very good and kept breaking down. Then I bought a new car and it didn't keep breaking down. Should I be concerned?

No. Vista is substantially less susceptible to malware than XP. If you are not using firefox, then you should be.

  5. I know it was a bone question but it had been behaving oddly... lag etc.

So I thought I may as well take the plunge. :)

    Sorry, just re-read your post.

Use Avira or Avast, not both. Running 2 antivirus programs is not recommended.
