Shooting rats

Wording is always ace.
The rats had the sheer audacity to still be out at 7.15 this morning .
They must have been newcomers , rather reminded me of the cable layers in
" Enemy at the Gates " . You shoot one , another appears .
All dead now

Only got one this morning, I was a bit late getting up.

I have never shot anything before (apart from Figure11) and we have a number of rats in our garden at the moment, in addition to bait boxes, I managed to shot one from the dining room door with my Weihrauch HW 35 with 4/32 scope. Was quite please with myself
The bottom of my garden is now a rat free zone .For three days now , the treats I leave them like peanut butter , chocolate or bacon fat haven't been touched and I haven't seen one for ages
Had to put more poison down in the front garden for the buggers.

3 drilled in so they have to eat in situ, 3 loose to take back to the nest.
