Shipping Coordinator


Our Client is looking for 3 CRSP Shipping Coordinators to be based in Kuwait for 3 Month.
The successful candidates will be working generally in outdoor areas with a potential exposure to extreme climatic conditions. Work will require lifting up to 50lbs; stooping; climbing; prolonged standing; prolonged sitting and working in areas where there is a potential exposure to physical, chemical or biological agents.
Employees must use Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) at all times. Employees must also comply with OSHA, EPA, Fire Regulations and published company work rules.
You must verify eligibility of cargo offered for air, ground and surface movements.
Prepare, complete and maintain air/surface movement records, documents and reports. You must have knowledge and be able to prepare Transportation Movement Control Documents (DD1384), ensure all cargo documentation, packaging; labelling, marking requirements, and all customs clearance requirements have been met.
You must exercise necessary safety and security precautions in handling and shipping hazardous or special cargoes.
You must also coordinate on a daily basis with both Air Loads Planners and Transportation Specialist on all cargo movements including the ability to formulate schedules.
You must possess working knowledge of Movement Automation Query Systems such as GTN and ITV, able to communicate effectively with military personnel and must understand DOD movement's terminology.
You must have successfully completed the HAZMAT 62 DOD Certification Course with production of Certificate for verification.
Associates Degree Preferred. Military experience and training in supply and transportation related
Fields mandatory. Good oral and written communication skills in English required.
A minimum of 2 to 4 years related experience. Must hold hazardous Material Transportation Course qualification. Must be familiar with the DOD 4500.32-R, MILSTAMP Volume 1 and FM 55-17.
