Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I thought that the Mig 35 for $5 was a more interesting story
  2. Update from the BBC.

An odd cargo, mostly anti-tank weapons (RPGs?). The crew seem to be saying that this was a 'private venture' by some Iranian VIPs and not a state-sponsored operation.

Also an odd comment about 'evacuating wounded Iranians'. Are there Iranian 'volunteers' fighting in this area?
  3. Sunni or Shia/Shiite, doesn't make much difference apparently - Hesbollah is Shia, but Hamas is Sunni - they both receive Iranian spt.
  4. Hmm. What does this mean for the West?
  5. same thing we've always known, the iranians are backing international terrorism.
  6. In the short term, not very much. The fact that the Iranians are backing terrorism is one of the world's worst kept secrets.
