Shamima Begum allowed back to the UK

That's been in for some time. Only fly in the ointment is that UK has to actually prove they departed from France.
They got 15 in a rubber dinghy off the coast of Belgium a little while back (when I say "got" I should, of course, have said "rescued").

My Bold: Where else can they come from on mainland Europe? Off the coast of Belgium, denotes that its Belgium that they need to return them to, or is that too easy....and did they?

Would she be so keen to come back if we still hanged traitors? We could do that until 1998.

Bring back hanging!
Didn't Mr Blair have something to do with that? An good example of planning for the future? You might think so, I couldn't possibly comment.

As evinced in our Air Crash Investigations, And Marine Accidents threads...
...hmmm... air crash y'say.... interesting.... publicly funded private jet eh?.... now what was the name of the travel agent that Emiliano Sala used again....

Could something like this work?....I'm no legal expert so forgive the ignorance...…Government pass a law quick time that anyone found guilty of war crimes in a uk court hangs.....
As soon as she lands try her for war crimes?
Wouldn't work because Parliament would never agree to bring back hanging.
And you'd never find any hard evidence to convict her of actual war crimes.

How this will unfold will be something along the lines of...............
She manages to weasel her way back into the country, then claims she was immature / groomed / didn't really know what she was doing blah, blah, blah.
Then her and her liberal supporters will play the sympathy card.. ...she's lost her children, whilst being little more than a child herself etc,etc...
She then gets found guilty of something minor, with a token prison sentence (possibly even suspended), then a change of identity and a new life at taxpayer expense.

That's it.
I wish I was wrong, but deep down we all know I'm right.

This is the kind of post I hate giving a Like to, because I know it's so accurate.

Or.... the government invokes some rare statute that enables it to find its balls, and just tells her to FO.

Why do any of us on here expect anything different with the actual composition of the bench of the 3 judges of appeal in this case?
It's almost as if they were chosen just for this case by the Liberty listing office?
One is from the family division of the high court, and was previously spending all of her professional life dealing with custody, access and parental rights.
Another is from the commercial court specialising in disputes involving insurance and reinsurance, shipping, international trade and professional negligence.
Another, and I'll bet you won't guess who, was a human rights lawyer before being appointed to the court.

Previously a founder member of, and then secretary of Matrix Chambers from March 2003 to December 2004 and later a director of the self same place from July 2009 to March 2010.
Also a director of The British Institute of International and Comparative Law from Sept 2011 to May 2014.
(Along with a certain Lord Bingham and several other legally employed Islington residents of the champagne socialist class one of whom has the surname Blair.)

Have you guessed yet?

Take some comfort in how racked off she will be when she gets back and finds out how much child benefit she is dipping out on.

If the Government really didn’t want her back they should have introduced legislation to prevent it. The courts can’t rule against legislation, they can only interpret it xx

Someone will probably erect a statue of her! :(

My thoughts is she is now guaranteed return to the UK, no prison sentence and will be virtually untouchable. Sad state of affairs and looks like we have to treat our enemies better than our own citizens.
Another prospective Labour MP...

It is, of course, quite possible that they wanted her back and let the Courts do their dirty work.

Like the one that was just tossed into a skip by the Bristol City council after only 1 day because no one from BLM (pbuh) thought to ask permission? =D

Couldn't the police accidentally mistake her for a Brazilian that's over stayed their visa
