I have just severed my Patella tendon, ruptured my ACL and torn my PCL. The opertaion is on Thursday. I was supposed to be in Australia at the moment but damaged myself on the Corps Ski Camp. Virgin have extended the tickets until the 23rd of feb so ideally need to be able to fly by the 1st of Feb at the latest or look at the Insurance coughing up. Does anyone know if I will be able to fly at about this time after the operation. Also am i being optimistic about being back to full physical ability and ready to deploy on ops by August.

    Many thanks

  2. As long as you're not in a closed pot and stiches have been removed you should be fine!!
  3. You need to clear it with the airline before hand - some companies get funny with medical problems!

youll need the seat with most leg room etc.

and like Ronnie says - youll need the pot bi-valving (splitting) to prevent cutting your circulation off when your leg expands in the pot.
