Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I need some advice -

My wife and I are a serving couple, we are expecting our first child in the next couple of months.

I submitted an application for a quarter (for re-assignment reasons) - a two bedroom property was offered as a result.

I have heard from various sources that we may be entitled to a three bedroom property as we are both serving. Can anyone confirm or deny this for me?
  2. You can apply for a 3 bed but as we got told, newborns dont count towards the family count as most will live in the 'rents room for a good few months. Could also be that we got fed drivel... Best person to ask though would be the housing office, they usually have the info you need.
  3. One child?? then a two bedroom is your entitlement Im Afraid.
  4. Unless you're going to employ a nanny/au pair. Then you can apply for SFA with extra bedroom.
