I've received Oldbaldy Snr's service record. He was a crab but there you go.
Seems he was a bit of a naughty boy in 1942 and his record has '14 days CC' on it. The only abbreviation I can think of is Close Confinement. Anyone any other ideas.
They did give me a list of popular abbreviations used but the only 'CC' given is Coastal Command and as he was stationed in Aden in 1942 that's a non starter.
  2. Correction centre? Probably not, would 14 days get a posting?
  3. confined to camp?

The Army version was CB - Confined to Barracks

MM Snr got 14 Days CB for wearing Brothel Creepers in uniform. The Officer passing sentence was sat at his desk wearing them too!

Aden was a bit far for a quick posting in 1942, he wasn't posted from there until 1944.

    Good possibility MM. Cheers.
  5. In a prison it would be cellular confinement.
  6. It is Confined to Camp, Poacher Snr had a spell at RAF Limavady in 1943.
