Septic gets his panties in a bunch...

I like that; I'd like to be hanging out of either of them more though.

The dispeptic septic could always fuck off if he doesn't like looking at women.

Well right now we have the Senate ready to gut the UCMJ and a lot of bad publicity about a supposed culture of sexual abuse of women in the military and being treated as objects. This doesn't help the female soldiers who don't want to be known as Barracks sluts. And to be honest is unprofessional behavior to post it publically

And they aren't all that good looking to begin with

I dont think its a disgrace at all. These women probably didnt choose to wear those chippy blue belt things that I remember from primary school. The cunt should take it up with their RSM or whatever the septics call them ( Master sgt first class E-9 Command gunnery chief warrant officer sgt major class 5)
Would that be the same as a RSM, Conductor, Regimental Corporal Major, GSM, Clerk of Works, Foreman of Signals?

Could be worse, I suppose.

Fair point well made, but You have a lot of different Sgt ranks and all the badges look distressingly similar, you'd have to be within a foot to guess what to call them D:

Sergeant Staff Sergeant Sergeant First Class Master Sergeant First Sergeant Sergeant Major Command Sergeant Major
3 up for all Sgt above Non-coms SGT 3 up, SSG 1 rocker, SFC 2 rocker, MSG 3 rocker, 1SG 3 rocker and diamond, SGM 3 rocker and star, CSM 3 rocker star with wreath. Seems simple there's no Calling them sah!

1SG? called Top from Top Soldier back in the old west days
SSG to MSG? called Sergeant typically SGT sometimes known as a Buck Sgt.
SGM & CSM? Sergeant Major

Don't have to know what branch or regimental seniority or other eccentricity to know what to call them

I never called a yank sah or sir or saluted one as they do not hold the queens commission. I was amused when a yank I worked with and he was a friend got told off by a Brit officer for not saluting him though.

I may have to use the term "dyspeptic septic" to enrage my own personal herd of north american twats even further.

May I associate myself with your point of view? ? You have hit the nail on the head. All "Septic" (ARRSE's term) services and not just the Army, are under a congressional microscope because of the perceived problem we have with women in the ranks. There are some problems but it isn't as bad as the civilian media is making it out to be. Most people just want to get on and serve their country and for those who want to fuck about there are already reporting channels set up to identify these bad actors and get them out.

The two women who are bored and take revealing photographs of themselves in uniform AND POST THEM ON SOCIAL MEDIA are morons who deserve to get a sharp tug of the choke chain. If I were still in and they were under my command they would know what an interview without coffee really is. They don't help the climate of the Army by pulling these kinds of stunts.

At least they have their safety belts on and as any FOBBIT SNCO can tell you that is the most important thing.

Could you help me here? something from my long distant pass.
was there any truth that you wasn't promoted UP to corporal just busted DOWN from sergeant?
I always thought "buck sergeant" was three stripes no rocker...probably I'm wrong again?
and how the fuck did the "spec" grades work?
I was stationed with the yanks off and on and never understood the spec grades.

I never salute British Officers. We had one attached to the Bn in 07 who got drunk and kept making racist comments about one of our 2nd Lt's who was of Bangladeshi extraction. Said Peniston- Byrd, aka Sparrow Cock as we called him tried one night to charge Lt Ramnarine who deftly stepped out of the way and watched him go headfirst down a flight of stairs. Sparrow cock also had an Insatiable need to poll the enlisted for their porn and talk about his golden retriever to the point we thought he was engaged in a sexual relationship with it.

Well...

Cpl. does seem to be a rank which can be rare at times and as you say seemed reserved for Busted Sgt's (now they just discharge them or ban their reenlistment). When I joined there was no billet for a Cpl. in an Infantry platoon, it seemed to be an MP rating, now we have them again for fire team leaders who don't have the necessary schooling for promotion to Sgt. IF you were a specialist(super private) and had the billet for Sgt. but held up actual promotion for whatever reason you were frocked as an "Acting Jack". You wore Sgt stripes but got paid as a SP/4 (E-4), that's now gone as well (I was an Acting Jack for 4 months until getting the hard stripe.)

The specialist ranks were originally for technicians like radiology lab techs, Radiomen, Machinegunners, etc. who had no leadership roles but evolved into all arms. All the Specialist rates are now gone SP/5, etc except SP/4 (E-4). Really its a super PFC more than anything else.
