Selection (two days)

#1
I've just received news that I'll be attending a two day selection for the Int Corps (transferee) some time in June/July.

If possible, could someone give me a heads-up as to what kind of thing I should be expecting? Aside from the usual drills of keeping (even more) up to date with current affairs, and boning up on command tasks, I can't imagine what kind of testing I could be in for.

Any (sensible) input would be greatly appreciated.

to study or improve your understanding of something, esp. for a test. The test includes history, math, and languages, so I'll have to bone up on a lot of subjects. With new developments in medicine happening all the time, doctors continually need to bone up.

There are no command tasks. There are lots of questions about how screwed up you may or may not be. Then you are to give an impromptu essay/brief on some current affairs topic, on which you may find government policy being based on in the near future.
