Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. any one got the NSN for the hot cutter for sealing webbingto stop it fraying it works a bit like a soldering iron but it is pistol shaped.
    many thanx in antisipation

  2. Prob local purchaes.

The gas sldering irons (both sizes) come with 'hot knife' heads in the initial issue.
  3. You can get them trough the system. I don't have the NSN, though.

My last clothing store had a green plug in variant.
  4. thanx lads , yhis is an electrical sealer
  5. Like this

    It's just a hot knife.

You don't need to seal webbing straps (or rope for that matter), you could just use a lighter after cutting the webbing with a sharp set of scissors.
  6. You must know blobmeister then.
  7. Can't help with the NSN, but from the descriptions the eBay number seems to be 290753700075.
