Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. In Hollywood it was announced that the Screen Writers Guild is going on an indefinite strike today.
Who will they get to write their strike and picket placards? :? :?
  2. The Picket Placard Writing Guild of course *tut*

There are a massive number of habitual protesters who have a lot of time on their hands (when not protesting about war, oil, globalisation, nuclear bases, GM crops, parliament, etc, etc, etc) who would not only willingly lend a hand (and marker), but also their time and selves to join in the protest.
  4. How will we know?

Will that include the scriptwrites for Steven Seagal?

    That would be a tragedy!
  6. Quick, call out the National Guard, its an emergency!
  7. I'm outraged.
  8. The sky will fall.
  9. By the marked improvement in quality I should think!
  10. Fortunately/Unfortunately for Steven Segal fans, he will not be affected by this walk out, as he hadnt yet mastered the art of reading and so could only be prompted by the use of heiroglyphics, and as these come under the jursitiction of the Art Dept, Steven will be able to continue working, and continuing to make high class action movies for all of his world wide fan
  11. If only the chavs that appear on daytime chat shows (Trisha, Jeremy Kyle etc) would go on strike.
  12. Fantastic!

Perhaps we might get to see films in which the villains (or butlers) aren't all British, in which British and Commonwealth forces actually contributed to winning WWII (by oh, let's say, capturing an Enigma machine), or Europeans of any type aren't stereotyped as crazed stereotypes bent on world domination by sinister means.

Or is that too much to ask?
  13. Yes, if we wanted to see crazed European stereotypes bent on world domination by sinister means we would read the EU constitution!
  14. Are you mad? This is a WRITERS strike, more like a job for special forces if you ask me.

Just whistle and McNab and Ryan will come throught the window (embassy, crashing through, for the use of), problem solved.
  15. So long as the Film Actors Guild doesn't join them in sympathy action, we should be OK.
