Thanks to the UK policy of getting in early with the drug companies. Just imagine the mess if we followed the SNP and stayed with the EMA policy.
Now there was an RP sgt who knew how to dish it out.He always reminds me of the angry RP Sgt

I find myself liking this man.
"Don't forget that the Scottish vaccination programme lagged behind the rest of the UK and BoJo had to offer Sturgeon help/resources to try to kick her arse into gear."it makes me shudder to think just how badly Scotland wold have done if the SNP/Labour 2 cheeks of the same arse) has been in power and allowed to tie us to the EU vaccine disaster where the UK/Scotland would have been bottom of the list to receive it.
It was bad enough Sturgeon covering up the initial Edinburgh convention centre outbreak and then kicking covid positive oaps into the care homes and/or making them share wards with covid positive patients.
Don't forget that the Scottish vaccination programme lagged behind the rest of the UK and BoJo had to offer Sturgeon help/resources to try to kick her arse into gear. On top of that, the treasonous cur fed the EU data on our numbers of AZ vaccine stocks which basically poured fuel on the fire of the whole AZ/EU fight
They could have used all the extra rUK money sent to them for the purposes of Corvid relief."Don't forget that the Scottish vaccination programme lagged behind the rest of the UK and BoJo had to offer Sturgeon help/resources to try to kick her arse into gear."
I think that is an unfair characterisation. There was a different emphasis in Scotland where they choose to target a slightly harder to get at cohort first. In England my 110 year old grandmother had to go to vaccination hub to be vaccinated because she does not live in a care home. For reasons that are bleeding obvious this required a considerable logistical effort in terms of ambulance transport and support. It also meant she didn't get her first vaccine until late March but it didn't slow down the delivery of vaccinations at point of delivery. If she had lived in Scotland the vaccine would have been delivered individually where she lived. That takes more effort in terms of delivering vacinnes in separate locations.

If that is true she should be held to account for it.
During the election I repeatedly saw Vox pops where youngsters said stuff like they were supporting Nicola because she was doing a much better job over covid than the government in Westminster. Not once were they challenged on that assertion. I don't think the Scottish Government has done a bad job but I don't think they've done any better than the central government. Fortunately they were not able to join any of the ridiculous EU schemes which would have been a total disaster and they (and we) have reaped the benefits of the central governments foresight over vaccines.
I really like to hear from some of these people how they think the Scottish Govt has done abetter job.
