More than likey the kids (if thats the truth)have moaned about the WiFi signal in the hotel and let's he honest a lot of the free WiFi is poor especially if a lot of people are tapping into it at the same time time and he's set it up as a hot spot.

@Simmerit , As for the mood twitter has useless trending for him to resign all week, the SNP spads and bot accounts are moaning about Douglas Ross not declaring £30k of earnings on the parliamentary register.
Two separate issues full stop as he paid tax on the earnings and wasn't on the fiddle like Matheson.

Sturgeon TV last week interviewing members of the public and every one suggested Matheson goes, but this is the SNP where no one gets sacked and they scream blue murder when others do wrong but close ranks when they are found out being naughty.
Losing by-elections left right and center is a good combat indicator of how the GE is going to go for them. They pumped more ££ into the Rutherglen By-election than labour by about £10k and still lost.

Useless and his posturing about Gaza is trying to win over the Muslim vote in his constituency and an eye on the future should he as predicted, lose his seat no doubt eying up some Islamic charity organisation job.
Sooner the muppet piss's off and stops being a drain on the tax payer the better.

Fairy. Nuff - Not up to speed on these things, but I have seen football matches advertised for £9.99, and there are plenty of places where you can watch any sports for free.

Neither am I up to speed on roaming charges - But most people would buy a local sim data package rather than fork out on international roaming charges.

Perhaps that was the issue - He thought he wouldn't be forking out and the taxpayer would foot the bill.

Just checked with my provider - 10GB world travel sim £15

I believe that the crux of the matter lies in your use of the phrase " He thought". I don't believe he put any thought into at all.

He just switched on iPad and allowed kids to watch football using it as a hotspot.

That part is actually not his crime. It was stupid perhaps but not criminal as such, neither was it a sacking offence.

When it became a serious matter and a sackable if not criminal offence was the failure to pay it back, the failure to admit to the error, the attempt to allow the taxpayer to pick up the bill.

As always in these sorts of things, it's not the original event that ends careers but the subsequent cover ups.

The excuse that he was protecting his kids is laughable. If from the start he had said sorry, was on holiday, let kids watch football, didn't realise that it was going to cost as much, have repaid the entire amount back when it was first pointed out to me, it would never have gotten to the stage it is now.

As it is, it's been slowly drip fed to us, each lie in turn proven untrue and action only taken when hand is forced.

No disagreement from me

It is one of the reasons I am in favour of a public flogging on the 1st Tuesday of every month - Rather a lot of stupidity, wilful ignorance, cover-ups and lies would disappear overnight ;) ;)

The rub is he has been in the SG long enough to have quite a comfortable lot when he does go which is a pity as he’s been an abject failure at every position he has held in the SNP…… Useless really……. (Before anyone else says it).

Apparently Scotgov are debating on a ceasefire in Gaza the day.

Why, when foreign affairs is a reserved matter.

And does anyone actually think that Israel or Hamas are going to pay one blind bit of attention to any vote?

They have form on this. Pointless debates on matters they have absolutely no jurisdiction over, simply to use up Parliamentary time to look like they are doing something and indulging in their favourite activity, gesture politics.

Nail hit squarely on head!

That little wretch Greer big timing it and gobbing off….. moral and political leadership, give it a break you bawbag:

“Scottish Green external affairs spokesperson, Ross Greer, said: "I hope that our parliament will show the moral and political leadership that has been lacking in Westminster and that every MSP who cares about the rights and lives of Palestinians shows the courage of their convictions by backing the first minister's motion."

The blatantly obvious answer nailed by the SC&U though:

“Scottish Tory MSP MSP Stephen Kerr posted on X, formerly Twitter: "Today the Scottish Parliament is voting on ... a ceasefire in Gaza. I'm certain people would prefer if their Parliament was dealing with the issues that affect them, the issues we were elected to deal with!"

Where as SLab are mixing it with the SNP in a clear attempt to remain relevant in the discussion while playing to the room (well of certain groups anyway).

Mearly filibustering to stop debates thar are of actual concern to Scots and put the Matheson saga on the back burner for a bit,

To be fair, I've been looking at LED space occupied on the BBC News by the First Minister of Gaza Scotland calling for a ceasefire and iPad bills, that I've begun to wonder what they're really trying to avoid discussion about?

Health, education, transport, tax rises, housing, energy...........pretty much everything that's devolved.

Nope, but it's all about the "virtue" signalling opportunity plus the lefty antisemitism and not forgetting Hamas Useless's Gaza connections too.
The fact that it will make the square root of feck all difference what a jumped up county council votes for is irrelevant, they feel they're big players on the World stage.

Some good news for Prestwick which clearly has a mountain to climb before the taxpayer gets their money back but when your in bed with the Greens and still believe that windfarms are the answer to carbon offset I saw this, which I previously missed which might result in a bit of a conflict of interest.
