Nurses are after 12.5%. Would take a grunt level nurse up to £37k, still under the 41% threshold. Any nurses in promoted posts or midwives (B6) would now be in the 41% tax bracket. Senior nurses (B7) are already in the 41% zone but would now also find themselves paying an additional 3.2% for their pensions as they'll move up a contribution bracket.just think about all of those strikers demanding inflation busting payrises getting them and then finding out they've been caught by Sturgeons high tax bracket!
ETA: In case anyone is curious, my net take home in Australia would be >£9k PA based on the same gross and current exchange rates. They seem to have a relatively decent standard of living despite a significantly lower tax burden.
