I dont expect a 'revolt' in the UK mate because we are too easy going but our European neighbours are far more likely to violently snap eg Rotterdam has had several violent protests in recent weeks as has had Germany and France.

However, to be honest we expect that from our excitable neighbours but I think that we have all been surprised by Australia and the sheer insanity going on there of military patrols and the setting up of forced quarantine/concentration camps etc and that is where I expect the proper revolt to finally occur if their PM doesn't calm the feck down.

Thinking about it, the English Population also gets a bit rioty compared to us in Scotland and looking at the medias desperate attempt to take out BoJo tonight over the xmas party non event and also SAGEs desperation to lock us all down again (with full media support) I could quite easily see the English snapping into a Revolt - none of us up here cares what Sturgeon does or says which might explain why we are a lot less rioty :)
I unfortunately turned on the tv to the Scottish News and a SNP MSP being interviewed giving Boris heck over some party, not that her snottyness hasn't attended the odd one or two. I just wish the Scottish Conservatives would jump the interview shouting "What about the missing £600k" or "What about the fraud cases being investigated by the polis" or even "What about the dire state of Scottish education and Scottish NHS", long overdue they've been too subservient for too long now, time to get nasty.

Breaking news states that Sicar Point have put Cambo on hold. As many have said if we don’t tap into our own oil/gas we will have to import from abroad - this in turn will add to global pollution and may even increase the UK’s 1% instead of heading towards 0%.

While Sicar will be pissed off at not making money out of this, they know the gas is not going to go away and all it will take is a change of heart and policy by the Scot Gov, who are not renowned for their steadfastness! A change will come when the next person has access to St Nic (pbuh) and the Greens are pushed away. Just a case of playing the waiting game.

In the meantime the people who will really pay for this are the voters of Scotland!

whilst I completely agree with you mate the problem is that the people and resources that would have been put in place will move on and cost 3 times the amount to get back at some distant point in the future - skilled engineers and experts are employable elsewhere and mobile so leaving Scotland or switching arcs to other engineering disciplines seriously impacts on the industry - exactly the same thing happened with ship building and the likes of BAS in Scotstoun and the UK taxpayer has invested a huge amount of dosh to get employees which are now being poachd by other yards and even job offers from overseas - the SNP dont understand the impact of their political decisions.

FOC.
Socialism to the core, humans don't matter as much as policies.

Yet a “generation” ago the oil and gas industry was the cash cow that would pave the way to Scotland’s seamless transition to nationhood.

Linlithgow has a pub called the Black Bitch. The name comes from the story of a dog who saved her master. He was condemned to die by starvation on an island, but the dog brought him food. Apparently Linlithgow folk refer to themselves as "black bitches" according to this report from GB News, so the name has cultural significance. The pub owners want to change the name but there is a petition against it, and there will be a protest around midday today.

Is this a turning point against the woke movement?

It’s OK for residents and local councils to support renaming streets with names linked to slavery or colonialism until they find out that doing the changes could cost councils hundreds of thousands of pounds which, inevitably, they would pass the cost to the residents affected, possibly to the tune of hundreds of pounds.
That might change a few minds.

every 'activist' should be legally forced to hand over 10 years of all their social media posts before anything is agreed to be changed or ripped down - I suspect that would cool their ardour somewhat!

Not going to the SNP plan

despite the Holyrood and Westminster media bubbles desperation to finally get rid of BoJo in revenge for Brexit I highly suspect that in the grand scheme of thing most people dont really care about the alleged party - BoJo could immediately rescue himself and give Sturgeon a kicking by reversing his Plan B leaving Sturgeon swinging in the wind. I also suspect that a lot of of the brighter people are more worried about who his replacement would be and their policies wrt covid , Scottish Indy vote and Brexit - better a cnut you know at a time like this!

Not defending Boris and Tories, but I find it hard to believe that Labour, Lib Dems SNP etc. are totally innocent, having not indulged in any partying during this period. Admittedly, none of 'em had feck all to celebrate, but still.............

The one second left from your friend is sturgeon. There are some that are saying this is the private advent that the first minister said the omicron came from as she refuses to say where it started. I would be ironic if she was the super spreader from cop26. Not that i'm surggesting that...

She's certainly spread a couple of things (allegedly)
