So , drugs related deaths up then, same thing is it not

Death from drugs can be complex as I stated.

Overdose is easy(ish) to calculate.

However it is the recording of the historical abusers that can be swayed.

A recent conversation with a consultant in that field suggested that our recording was perhaps more stringent than elsewhere thus resulting in a truer figure of the harm done in the long term.

What was it I was saying about Police Scotland pushing the SNP agenda again?......

As St Nicoliar and former health minister and promiser of lowering drugs death says “every death is a tragedy” but she won’t do anything about it as those mongs are unlikely to vote and if they do they will vote for whoever offers the most free stuff to add to their list of benefits.

Looking at it objectively and only a personal opinion this trend in drug deaths only serves to provide the Scottish taxpayer a long term cost saving.

When you add how much these people cost to ‘run’ between their various benefits, health issues and of course the colossal amount spent on them whilst being processed through the criminal justice system between being caught and inevitably reoffending it’s clearly money that could be better spent elsewhere.

Of course the opportunity to try and get to the root of the problem of reducing the amount of addicts/users by improving the life chances of people, in predominantly deprived areas to encourage them to improve their lives, through say something important like education, is and has been in the grasp of the SNP since they got into power and they have done absolutely nothing about it and instead have spent the money elsewhere……..

Drugs deaths up again.

A complex issue.

The overall figure includes both overdoses and those with historic abuse issues who have finally succumbed.

I wonder how many are covid related - by that I mean those who committed suicide due to the lockdown etc and/or missed essential nhs treatment

a couple of years ago, 600k adult education places in Scotland were scrapped to pay for the free uni places for the largely middle and upper classes - when the uni industry puts its annual tuition fees up the money has to come from somewhere and it was easyier for the SNP to slyly chop the adult education places of the poorer people to maintain the 'free uni' claim the SNP loves to rub into the faces of the English.

My 30 year old nephews PT instructors course was just suddenly cancelled after his first year and like a lot of lads who only got interested in education later on in their lives that was the last straw for him and he gave up - the sad thing was that for the first time in his life he had really knuckled down and studied with very good results and the course went upto degree level and was inclusive of health/diet/medical, finance, business mngt etc so it gave him the potential to have been able to start his own business as a personal PT but that dream went with the course being chopped

Your local SNP MP or MSP will tell you it is as a result of years of tory austerity - independence is the only cure for the self harm that is ailing Scotia.
That's exactly what their doing. Even though health is devolved because the SNP can't set up their free use shooting galleries program it's all the fault of the evil TOOOOAAARRRIIIEEESS.

Surely it's an example of a successful SNP policy, more drug deaths than England or even the whole of Europe

SNP spin doctors are slacking

One of the other things that the SNP/ScotGov fail to mention is that the higher education institutes are rationed as to how many places are available to Scottish students. For example on a course a neighbour worked only 8 of the 40 places were available to Scottish students - it was a strict limit even if the course was not full.

ITV news interviewer ripped Nippy a new arrse and at the end she tried to shift the blame onto Westminster.

Surprise, surprise.
BBC shocker-
not a mention that the “Government “ in charge for the last 14 years is the SNP.
Not 1 member of an opposition party, who might question where the responsibility lies, was interviewed.
But the SNP Minister gave a statement which was unquestioned
