It’s a difficult one. Common sense says mid you’ve got it use it. However when you have to roll it out in a methodical manner, you need to control its delivery otherwise it becomes a free for all. Health care workers being harassed for spares. Some unscrupulous health care workers over ordering .

My genuine concern however is the 20% of the population who polled said that they’d stop the following precautions once they been vaccinated.

Current target audience are somewhat generally immobile. When it comes to vaccinating the masses there’ll see it as a free for all and undo all of the good work that’s been done.

I’m hoping the increasing use of AstraZeneca vaccine they’ll be less wastage.

Working in varied teams gives a degree of governance. I.e. never the same mix of folk.

We do emphasise when giving it that takes time for immunity to develop and that you need to maintain all precautions until told otherwise.

All hopes seem currently based on a successful vaccination programme.

But it will take time. The 2nd dose is already been pushed back against original guidance. It will be interesting to see what effect that will have in a few months time.

Yeah. Sounds terrible. I‘d hate to have to try and do it. That’s why I applied myself at school, got some qualifications and, since the age of 16 have pretty much not been out of work. Even managed to get some more qualifications while working.

Of course the only downside to all that is that I get the perk of paying into the pot for all the people struggling on UC. So I’m actually ok with it being a struggle because if you make it any easier then there is very little incentive to get off it. For me you should be able to live but have none of the niceties in life on UC. That seems to be where the issues come in. People living off the efforts of other people thinking they should be able to have the same standard of life as them. I know I don’t earn the same as Richard Branson so I realise I can’t have his lifestyle.

If you are on UC you have two options. Get off it or live within the means you are given.

When I finished my service I even had to move in order to ensure I found a decent job. How crazy an idea is that?

Good to know you're motivated and are capable of learning. What do you do with the people who can't? You're making the error of assuming everyone has the same potential.

As for the Norman Tebbit option, if you don't have enough money to eat or for heat, or to pay for the roof over your head (or even soap) do tell how you pay for the travel to find another job in another town or for the deposit on a new flat/house? Answers: you can get the bus or train or tube fare from the Flexible Support Fund for a verified interview but you get no help with deposits for somewhere to live.

Like I said, I'm a lifelong tory. The people who designed UC werent any kind of Tory Maggie would recognise nor acknowledge, they're something else and I don't have the vocabulary to describe them.

I see the One Eyed financial clown is sounding off about Independence now.

Indeed - Got to love the selective memory

The five-year Brexit crisis plus the COVID-19 crisis have weakened the bonds that bind England, Wales, Scotland and Northern Ireland into a $3 trillion economy.

Naw Broon - The 2014 Referendum started that particular sh1tshow.

Did I hear correctly, did she quote Burns , calling Borris a "wee sleekit cowering timid beastie

did that not open her up to quotes such as "O wad some Pow'r the giftie gie us. To see oursels as ithers see us!"

Someone waiting next to me in hospital last week said that to me out of the blue.

I thought I'd joined the queue for the psychiatry department, but it turns out I was in the Burns ward.

Craig Murray is a tinfoil hat wearer par excellence. He accused NO voters of being "evil"! Man is a crank who has arrived at the SNP after a chequered life. He could be in the jail soon should he be found guilty of contempt over Eck's court case.

That independence campaign won't pay for itself ye ken. There appear to be several amounts of money supplied by Westminster for various ring-fenced reasons but seem to be stuck in the SNP* treasury.

*I use SNP advisedly as they seem to think ScotGov money equals SNP Party funds..

The report did not find any evidence of that.

And we are still experiencing outbreaks in care homes without new residents coming in.
Next door neighbour is an ex nurse, now working in a local care home. They had been assiduous in keeping it Covid free throughout 2020. New student carer went partying at Hogmanay, caught Covid, brought it into the home.

If there was ever a country that needed a full independent audit, it is Scotland! Since the media only very recently actually started reporting on Scottish Govt matters for the first time in 10+ years it has taken very little time to start to uncover financial irregularities and gross mismanagement across the board.

No Govt can stay in power this long without the natural dishonesty and sheer incompetence of politicians having occurred and the Scottish people are well over due it being exposed and the miscreants being brought to justice.

Sadly, it is rare for politicians to be held to account but at the very least the voters should be made aware of it so that they can express their displeasure at the ballot box. If there was ever a time for a visible and viable opposition party it is now but we dont have one in Scotland so the shower of incompetent sh ite that currently rule us will no doubt limp across the finish line declaring 'clear mandates from the people' for further criminality and malfeasance.

Because we cannot count on the very weak and useless opposition parties in Scotland I only have 2 hopes:
1. BoJos govt leaks all financial aid and funding that the SNP has received to the very few real journalists left
2. The MMS realise they are onto something big and decide to get their teeth into it in a very public and aggressive manner

Kevin McKenna doesn't appear to have read the Sunday Times poll report he is trumpeting as the end of the UK. Welsh independence is apparently next, the two celebrities touting it are Neville Southall and Charlotte Church! One an ex goalie with several screws loose, the other was a disciple of Magic Grandpa Corbyn until that went t*ts up. As I posted yesterday, two thirds of respondents in Wales weren't remotely interested.

In common with Sheridan, Fox and most Scottish left wingers who now support independence McKenna has traded in the planet wide aspirations of the global brotherhood of socialism he used to believe in for narrow minded nationalism. Peek under the eloquent turns of phrase and it's just anti-English guff as usual, dressed up as class-war to give it some left wing shoulder. He's still talking about Maggie Thatcher FFS!

They are, it's just that the cash was meant to be paid to local businesses in the way of loans initially, now put to good proper gander usage!
