This is the first day of the school holidays up here.

Nice not to have messages constantly pinging in from Tiny Miss F's teacher.

Have had a plan sent out with suitable caveat.

Currently it would be half the class for 4 days in school, Friday no kids, deep clean. 2nd week other half. Home school when not in.

Lunches will be grab bags eaten in the class rooms.

Other rules apply such as no cloak room, everything to be kept in class rooms, clean fresh uniform every day. Take everything home every night.

Transport to be decided.

Support for learning will be with masks and gloves.

Increased handwashing and gels for staff and pupils

As it is now mandatory to wear a mask in a shop (that we've been using for months without one and the infections have collapsed) but it is now ok to go to a pub without one and be tighter packed, even though it is 2m unless you've got a wee pub then 1m is OK .

Can someone explain the logic

:???:

Pubs inside is England from the morn.

We are more cautious, outside only, from Monday, still 2 metres.

Not till next Friday it's not.
I tried to explain ( albeit the flawed logic of it) yesterday to you.
Seems to have been lost upon you.
Not that I agree with their new lock-down forward planning...but it is what it is.
A potential £60.00 fine if you are in the wrong place at the wrong time.
People are acting like sheeple as you are well aware.
A posh dressed mother with her 12 years old coughing kid without masks were escorted out of Tesco this morning in front of SWMBO & I when we were exercising the Old Fart & NHS 9-10 am slot with their shopping. The kid was coughing and sneezing without covering his gob, and she had been warned twice about htat and walking into areas the wrong way....but being an M&S BMW Speshull type she considered herself above the rest. Until she left empty handed. Smarmy c-vnt.
Multiply her in the thousands next week...there's your issue.

Not lost on me at all.

So I am not allowed to have an opinion. You are the husband of Mrs Murrell and I claim my £3.25.
I think having an opinion on a technical issue is a little nugatory unless you have a some understanding of the issue.

My scepticism on masks is based on what people with knowledge have said to me although but I also understand the benefits and recognise that I lack the knowledge and understanding to decide which outweighs which.

I’m not a supporter of the SNP but I thing la Sturgeon has done a reasonable job. She is trying to make the right decisions for the right reasons. I don’t think there is any hidden agenda or desire to exert control over people any more than is necessary for the public health.

Its not a conspiracy and they’re not out to get us.

Johnboz?
You give someone a "Disagree" just when they say they do not savvy something?
Grow up sunshine, stop being so silly...I'm sure you can do better.

Maybe indeed. Various conditions have to be fulfilled.

And don't forget the opening of beer gardens was put back so it's not set in stone.
I don’t think I’d be going to any beer gardens today even if they were open. Its great weather for February but a tad disappointing for July. I’ve got a woolly pully on.

Will it be mandatory to wear a mask going to the pub, on the 15th?
Have no idea what the guidance or mandatory instructions will be.

It's going to be some time before Mrs F and myself venture into a restaurant, let alone a pub.

The best I can say about the weather at present is that it is keeping the midge numbers down

The difficulty with the herd immunity is that it is going to require a lot of infections in the community. Whilst the majority will be asymptomatic or of low grade, there will be a number of cases which will be more serious and a significant amount of deaths
So?
