Chicken and Black pudding?

That's not strictly gastronomically compatible, even when adjusted for deep fried pizza, haggis, clooties and lorne sausage.

Independence would have nixed this sort of foolishness
Chicken stuffed with black pudding has been on the menu of English eateries for years and quite good.
Chicken Balmoral is chicken stuffed with haggis with a whisky sauce and is arguably even better. It doesn't deserve to be shoved in to a pie case though..

What would an independence pie look like?

......and this is what Scottish politics has come to. We must certainly be doomed....
Ah well, you see, that is because now the SNP grip on power has had it's first decade, we in the True North luxuriate in the Socialist Workers Paradise of Scoatlan' where the education is the best that can be offered, health care is world class, the transport network is exceptional, employment is at 100% and there is no need for justice and all the costs that this entails as we eagerly beaver away for the benefit of all. And of course there is no need for an economy because all this is free.

Since it is all sorted now we can spend our time on frippery. How we managed before is quickly becoming inconceivable. Next stop - a football team that actually qualifies for major tournaments.

I am led to believe that the women's football team have qualified for major tournaments and are currently in contention to do so again.

The Scottish Women’s Team are very good. In their last game they battled from 2-0 to beat Poland 2-3, away I may add. When can you remember their male counterparts doing that?

Flicked the tv onto the parliament channel to see what was going on and Martin Docherty-Hughes SNP was up trying to introduce a ten min bill on representation for the Armed Forces. Spoke very well too, unusually for the SNP*.

+ In my opinion.

Further to my last, Phillip Dunne Con, rose to oppose the bill mouthing all the platitudes of years gone by by those opposed to AF representation. Bit of an emabarrassment tbh compared to the SNP bloke, came across as a bit of a "Let them eat cake" type. It appears he thinks the veterans and services charity world along with service families organisations already do the job.

Clown :(

Interesting vid doing the rounds with a certan Alex Salmond...

He is claiming he spoke to Ian Blackford the day before the walkout and "inspired" him to act against Westminster.

So, SNP still stating it was not staged, despite cameras outside waiting and Alex Salmond saying he inspired it....

Oh..and fracking was not banned, as I said at the time ;)

And the sainted Nicola never said it was banned either, no siree, not once

I rate sturgeon highly; clearly her cunning plan is after the failed referendum, to now wind up the English as much as possible, to the extent, there is a call for a second referendum, in England, to push Scotland out of the union.

Frankly outside Scotland the SNP are just something to be laughed at, it doesn't impact us how much they impoverish the people of Scotland

You voted for them, it's your problem

Thanks for that, as I didn't know that was coming up. I know that a sensible representative arrangement for armed forces personnel is official SNP policy, i.e. for the UK armed forces, and not just as an aspiration for the armed forces of an independent Scotland. Martin Docherty-Hughes MP is a member of the Defence Committee. I will read the transcript with interest.

You're right. Now seen on the daily report. Mr Dunne rather gives the game away, as he says "...there already are, as the hon. Gentleman touched on, a plethora of existing families federations across each of the services that do a very good job and exist to advocate on behalf of forces personnel and their families some of the issues that he is trying to address through the Bill."

Mr Dunne goes on to say that the MoD "is working through the family federations" to modernise "historical garrison accomodation".

Which begs the question, if the families federations can do "a very good job" on behalf of single personnel and others without the sky falling in, what is the real case against a properly organised tri-service federation which doesn't have its prime focus on family matters, and is answerable to personnel and not families?

Special Notice for TAIN and surrounds, especially for any noise sensitive dogs

Advanced Warning - Military Exercise - 21 06 2018

Please note that training will be taking place on Tain ranges this week that will be different from normal activities. Royal Engineers from Kinloss Barracks will be conducting training using demolition charges and explosives on Thursday, June 21st. The exercise is scheduled to take place between 0900 and 1700, but these timings could narrow considerably closer to the time. There will be a number of explosions as various charges are detonated, and some effects may be visible for some distance.

The military hope that this special exercise will not cause too much disruption, though much will depend upon wind direction. This advanced warning has been issued in order to minimise any alarm that may be caused. The police, Fire Control Centre and Coastguard have all been informed.

I see from today's Times that we kind Scottish tax payers have "lent" £40M to Prestwick airport, who lost £8M last year. The airport finance director says if he were asked for it back the airport would close.

There's a another fine mess you have got us into Nicola!

In 2016 they were expecting to loan them £40m up to this year, so is that in total or on top of what they have loaned them so far?
