Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. I have the following:

Scottish pattern Service Dress jacket with Royal Regiment of Scotland buttons. It was made for me at RMAS (by Kashkets) and is now 'slightly' tight! Might fit you if you are a shade under 6 feet (I have long legs though) and a 37" chest. Any sensible bids considered.

Another Scottish pattern Service dress jacket with Highlanders buttons. Made in a much darker khaki than standard but was worn without anything ever being said. Made by Michael Jay Tailors. Not entirely certain on sizes (was given to me when a fellow officer departed and I am selling on his behalf) but I would say 6 foot tall, 40" chest would not be far off. Any sensible bids considered.

Highlanders pattern Mess Dress jacket. Made for me at RMAS by Kashkets and now replaced with new Royal Regiment of Scotland jacket. No shoulder boards. Might fit you if you are a shade under 6 feet (I have long legs though) and a 37" chest. Any sensible bids considered.

I also have two Highlanders patterns long horse hair sporrans; one with gold balls (as worn in Mess Dress and Levee order) and one with two black tassels (as worn with Number 1s and DS). No sporran belts though but you can get them very easily. Both have removable cantles. These sporrans cost hundreds new and they are still in good condition. Serious bids considered.

All in good condition and available for collection from Wilton (near Salisbury) or can be be in Warminster for next two weeks. Alternatively can be posted but not sure on costs.

  2. can you put some piccies up of them...

  3. I would be thinking anything around £50 for each of the jackets and at least £150 for each of the Sporrans.

  4. Lets see the photos then? (wahay, porridge wardrobe porn)

  5. Will post pictures this PM...on course at the moment and not at home.
