Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Due to injury/fitness issues a seriously keen runner or established 2 person team are required for this years Scottish Islands Peaks Race. Details of race are at www.sipr.co.uk.
Team has a competitive multihull and an Army sailing crew experienced in the race and West Coast of Scotland Sailing.
Volunteers should ideally have relevant experience such as previous SIPR, 3 Peaks Yacht Race or KIMM/OMM and be confident about navigating over the Paps of Jura in the dark a few bumpy seasick hours after doing a marathon up Ben More and be able to follow up with another hill run up Goat Fell within 24 hours. However this could also be an ideal opportunity for those wishing to break into this demanding Adventure Sport which can be difficult to gain entry into. Limited sail training maybe available if desired, otherwise runners may join the boat in Dunstaffnage/Oban from Wed 16th May.
Intent is a finish by PM Sun 20 May.

    Please PM if interested.................
