Scam/Phishing email from the 'Post Office': for info only.

Just had this pop up in my off-world email:

From: support@postoffice.co.uk
Subject: Post Office Tax Rebate
Date: January, 20, 2013

After the last annual calculation of your fiscal activity we have
determined that you are eligible to receive a tax rebate of: £ 143.24

Regarding this, please download and fill out the form in order to
process your tax rebate.
TAX REBATE NUMBER: UK7022885-POSTOFFICE/2013

Please allow us 3 to 7 days to process your refunds.

A quick call to Post Office call centre and Dwayne the Trainee (bless him-his voice has'nt broken yet) tells me that there are a slack handful of these being reported.

Do you pay your tax to the post office?

I know that they do a lot of things that have nothing to do with posting stuff but tax returns?

Mind you I bet they get at least a few results otherwise they wouldn't keep doing it.

I do. I prefer it to sending a cheque in the post. It's instant and you get a receipt.

Thanks for the info. You would have to be a bit of a fool to fall for this one, but there are a lot of greedy people out there and some will go for it.
