No need to panic. Sharia Law will no doubt deal with this. 8O

Diplomatic immunity goes a long way. Look at the murder of Yvonne Fletcher, her murderer was allowed to leave the country.
Only the Saudi's can waive the right to diplomatic immunity but I doubt they will do it. It doesn't make them any worse than Britain who would cover someone in a country that has the death penalty for murder.
Some things leave a very nasty taste in the mouth but they are there to offer protection to diplomats in foreign countries and we have to keep our eye on the bigger picture.

Learn something new every day; I did'nt realise royals had the same get-out-of-jail-free card as diplomats.

Anyway, Saudi has the Oil, so they make the rules. Nothing unusual about that.

Somone once told me those rich Saudi love to smoke crack, bone prozzies and get p!ssed up on visits to the UK. Very Islamic!

Is there a reason you cannot comment on the story at the bottom of the page? Seems you can on all the rest.

Well, if the prozzies are about 12 years old, they are following in the very finest traditions of Islam and the Prophet Himself(Praise be upon Him)!

Why did Mossad not just send a few of their diplomats over to Saudi?
As far as the Red Sea Pedestrians are concerned, one Saudi killing another is NHI: No Humans Involved.

So are you saying that a Moslem should be made to follow his religion to the very strictest letter of it's law whilst Christians can pick and choose?

I hope you're not a Christian who eats meat on a Friday or doesn't fast for Lent other wise you'd sound like a right hypocrite.

PS

Why would they smoke crack, there must be more upmarket designer drugs than that surely, where's Brighton Hippy, he'll know?

From wiki, but sounds about right:

It is possible for the official's home country to waive immunity; this tends to only happen when the individual has committed a serious crime, unconnected with their diplomatic role (as opposed to, say, allegations of spying), or has witnessed such a crime. Alternatively, the home country may prosecute the individual. Many countries refuse to waive immunity as a matter of course; individuals have no authority to waive their own immunity (except perhaps in cases of defection).

Yup.

I'm a bit of a laid-back liberal type (ha ha ha) and the only country I've ever been to that I've instantly felt my hackles rise and a deep-seated feeling of "I-hope-that-this-place-disappears-up-its-own-********-returning-to-its-long-deserved-obscurity" is KSA.

Religion is not for me.
