Dear USA,

If you won't regulate your firearms ownership (and you won't), then you lose the right to cry when your kids get brassed up (and they will). It's that simple.

Peace Out,

The RoW x
What a moronic statement.

Dear ROW

If you don’t come from gun country, you will never understand firearms ownership.

I get that bit, I really do. I just find the sight of tear streaked high schoolers being led away from the site of another massacre a bit tiring when those high schoolers' nation will not address the very means by which they are being murdered.

PS: I gave you a Dumb because I think you really do believe in "Murca!" etc...

Yehaw!!

So this guy doesn't understand then?

'As Houston Police Chief Art Acevedo stood before news cameras last week and demanded action from Republican lawmakers on gun safety legislation, he was the embodiment of the police mission to protect and serve the public.

'In blunt remarks that were directly on point, Acevedo blistered the GOP for sacrificing the safety of Americans — including law enforcement officers — out of deference to the gun lobby. As he spoke, his department was preparing to escort one of its own, Sgt. Chris Brewster, to a funeral home after Brewster was shot and killed in the line of duty.

“I don’t want to hear about how much they support law enforcement,” Acevedo said. “I don’t want to hear about how much they care about lives and the sanctity of lives, yet we all know in law enforcement that one of the biggest reasons that the Senate and Mitch McConnell and (Texas Sens.) John Cornyn and Ted Cruz and others are not getting into a room and having a conference committee with the House and getting the Violence Against Women Act (passed) is because the NRA doesn’t like the fact that we want to take firearms out of the hands of boyfriends that abuse their girlfriends.

“And who killed our sergeant? A boyfriend abusing his girlfriend. So you’re either here for women and children and our daughters and our sisters and our aunts, or you’re here for the (National Rifle Association).”

Maybe, maybe not; you can't get bent out of shape about an awful event happening when you refuse address the method by which that event happens.

Big City LE would be called out by his counterparts out here. You have an example of one Anti 2A LE type. He would be slightly outnumbered by the pro 2A crowd. LE can be just as partisan as the rest of the country.

Perhaps he should change his surname to Glock?

Then what is the solution in a country with over 400 million firearms? You can’t confiscate or ban them, because to try would involve a massive increase in the number of gun deaths here.

You can’t take away a right with impunity here. This isn’t New Zealand.

He didn’t seem to overly fond of them.
How so?

'Do not believe banning certain weapons will create the safety we seek; it will only serve to continue the gun control controversy and prolong the failure to focus on the real issue.'

He is an old school guy. 1911’s and such. The Glock mafia is newer trend for the plastic fan boys such as myself. We do have generational divides amongst choice of caliber and plastic or steel gats. Which can lead to heated arguments.

Yeah, but changing your name to 'Pistol, Caliber .45, Automatic, M1911A1' could make life a little tedious.

E2A: name changed to reflect 'official' designation.

True enough. Just call me Kimber! But short, fat, and slow will do the job. But personally I would take a 9mm over a .40 any day.

And you have the brass neck to say that the US would be nervous about sending Sacoolas over here because of how she might be treated? Your Justice system is dysfunctional if you have State LE shooting at Fed LE over a law.

Edited to add: If you LE can be as partisan as you say, they have no business being in that position. LE should be without fear or favour especially over something as serious a firearms.

Nor should you.
How many registered weapons are involved in these school massacres?

We have many levels of LE. If you can’t come to terms with that variable bow out now. Just look at America like you would a foriegn country you are trying to do a COIN op. Instead of being outraged do your homework on the various factions, and learn the why’s and how’s of them.

But State LE would not assist the Feds and would instead save them from stirring up a hornets nest.

I don’t have the stats. But you would better using the term “legally acquired” weapons. I can purchase one now if I browse Armslist and meet a guy in a parking lot. With no background check and it would be legal.

I did not realise it was that easy. Is it like selling/buying a used car? Do you get a logbook or something with it?
Forgive me for what is probably bone questions to you. I'm a Scot and we can't carry a penknife over here.

Any faction that puts possession of firearms over the lives of innocent civilians at school/nightclub/shopping who get murdered by a firearms user gets my contempt. Make of that what you will.

So you refuse to understand, you have the capacity but just refuse out of blind rage.

If I could be bothered, you would have my contempt. But I'm lazy so carry on.
