Just a favour to help promote. For anyone interested applicants are available welcome to apply for the next series of SAS WDWs.
Due to the COVID 19 pandemic, they have asked all applicants to remotely record and submit three elements of the standard fitness test, which under normal circumstances would be carried out in person. Will copy below.
The fitness videos must be recorded as three separate files and submitted with your application, or via the additional questionnaire link which was sent to all applicants who applied before the 05th of May 2020. Each video must be recorded continuously and submitted unedited.
We are keeping the deadline for submission of fitness videos open until the 12th of July. However, if you are contacted by a member of the production team who want to discuss progressing your application, at that point we will request that you submit your fitness video asap – i.e. within 7 – 10 days from the date of that phone call.
If you cannot complete the fitness test remotely due to the pandemic or for other health reasons, the production team will discuss this with you on an individual basis and it does not mean you are automatically discounted from progressing. However, please note that completing all elements of the fitness test is a basic requirement of participation, and you may not fully progress onto the course until these are completed.
For responses to common questions about the fitness test videos, please see below:
We MUST be able to verify that you have completed the run in the required time, therefore just a screen shot of your results will not suffice. In order to verify that it is you, we ask that you request a household member or friend to record you doing the run. If this is not possible, please try to record yourself via selfie video doing the run. You can use the screen record option on your phone which allows you to flip between your camera and the running app so you can record yourself running and record your results.
If you do not have access to a public park or available road space, you are permitted to complete this run on a treadmill or track.
If for any reason you are having problems uploading your fitness videos or accessing your application, please submit your videos via WeTransfer to sasapply@minnowfilms.co.uk and a member of the team will add the videos to your profile.
Ex regulars are permitted. PM for more.
