    A man who posed as an SAS war hero at Remembrance Day parades faces being thrown out of the Royal British Legion.

    Tom Cattell, 74, from St Blazey, Cornwall, attended a number of services to honour the war dead wearing medals and SAS badges.

    He has since admitted he was a cook during national service and had a stint in the Territorial Army.

    Mr Cattell, who last week was collecting for the Poppy Appeal, said the deception was "stupid".

    A spokeswoman for the Royal British Legion (RBL) said he could now have his membership cancelled............................................................
