  1. News today said that Sara Jane Moore, lefty activist who tried to kill President Ford 1975 has been paroled. It made me think about and look up the guy who saved the President's life. His name was Oliver Sipple and he was a decorated USMC Vietnam vet, disabled by shrapnel wounds. When Moore raised her revolver he grabbed her wrist to deflect the shot and then locked his hand on the cylinder to stop gun from fiiring again. He was a hero for a day or two and then a gay City Councilor, Harvey Milk "outed" him to the press and his life went down the tubes. Lost job, parents would not talk to him etc.

I don't give a siht if he was gay, straight or shagged sheep. In my book this disabled vet was a hero who risked his life to save the president.
Sara Jane I hope the rest of your life is as happy as your time in prison.

    Oliver RIP
  2. Agreed, a hero indeed. His orientation is truly at the bottom of the hierarchy of importance
