Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. It worked in Musa qaleh in 2006........wait a minute, it so didn't!
  2. Try reading the link first before posting knee-jerk replies. The deal is not with the Taliban but with the elders of the largest tribe in the area. It could work. We'll have to wait and see.
  3. Wasn't the ceasefire in Musa - Q'ala also with the local Elders?
  4. That's what I thought, that went well didn't it...
  5. I beleive the Elders thought they could control/liase with the T to keep the peace i nthe area. They'd police and control the area themselves with a local militia, if the Brits would pul out.
