SAFETY/ ISAGO OFFICER, Heathrow, £35k+

Company Description

We are currently searching for a Safety / ISAGO Officer to further expand and strengthen our clients Health and Safety team. We are looking for someone who has a good working knowledge of Health & Safety legislation. Ideally the candidate will have Safety Practitioner skills (NEBOSH), and as a minimum IOSH. An understanding of Airside operations will be beneficial.

Job Description

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following;

  • Maintain Company compliance with all H&S Legislation
  • Advise and support Managers on all aspects of Health & Safety
  • Ensure that best H&S Practice is applied in all tasks
  • Ensure timely/proper investigation of all reported accidents
  • Maintain regular auditing of H&S performance and ISAGO accreditation
  • Ensure timely & accurate Reporting and Investigation of all accidents
  • Provide information to HSE as required (RIDDOR)
  • Provide Management Reports on all aspects of H&S as required.
  • Ensure that H&S aspects of all training undertaken are fully understood and implemented
  • Design/develop necessary reporting processes/structures
  • Attend any/all Safety related meetings
  • Liaise with all necessary Control Authorities, Airport Management, Contractors and Service providers.
  • Actively participate in and support Community efforts and activities, eg. Aviation Ground Safety Council, etc.
  • Ensure the Company through safety compliance is protected from prosecution, etc.
  • Achieve continuing reduction in Accident rates (Personal, Aircraft & Equipment)

  • Qualified Health & Safety practitioner (or prepared to undertake study/examination)

  • Full compliance with requirements of ISAGO
  • Report writing: To provide information and advice for all of the Management team and staff on Health / Safety and Compliance matters
  • To analyse and produce reports for Managers on KPIs and Performance improvements
  • Assist production and progress of strategic plans.
  • Presentation skills: To write and produce presentations to Management team
Computer literate with complete knowledge and experience of MS Office
