Welcome to the Army Rumour Service, ARRSE

The UK's largest and busiest UNofficial military website.

The heart of the site is the forum area, including:

  1. Just heard that Butch Maycock passed away last week.

Monster of a bloke held in high regard by many. One of his greatest qualities were that he was in the start a TeleMech.

    RIP Butch you`ll be missed.

    Condolences to his family :(
  2. A great QM he will be missed by us all.
  3. Only new him through football ... top geezer RIP BUTCH and deepest sympathy to his family and close friends.
  4. only met him a few times but a nice guy RIP
  5. RIP Butch.
  6. was he Graham Maycock - used to be troop Sgt for 5 Troop, 11 Sigs back in '92?

  7. No mate, back then he was OC Airfield Troop, 259Sigs.
  8. He was QM at 36 Sigs just before I was there. I'm told he was "a really good bloke".
    My condolences to his family.
  9. Always sad when a fellow Corps member dies, just a shame his CO didn't spend as much time, money and effort on young Sig Didsburys funeral.
  10. I don't want to change this into a slxg 21 sigs thread, but Tubbs I was very heavily involved with Did's funeral the CO was great as a matter of fact.

Shame to see a good officer go RIP. My thoughts are with all his family and everyone at 21.
